She says two characters will die–any bets on who? I still have my Mr. Longbottom theory going strong. I am trying to convince Mr. Quiz that we need to reread the whole series before July.
Oh, man. I have no idea. Some people have guessed Fred & George. It could be someone major — she’s not afraid of that — Snape? Harry?

I’ll probably not re-read the whole series, but am going to try to find time to get through book 6 again. The problem at our house is going to be only having one copy! (at that price, I’m not buying more than one!)
Well, I think she is borrowing from Tolkien a bit (how can you write fantasy and not?)–remember Neville and the prophecy. I think Harry is too deeply intwined in V’s mind by now to pull away and destroy him, and that it will fall to Neville to come through in the end: a Frodo/Sam thing. I vote for Harry and Snape to die, probably Snape saving Harry. But maybe that’s extreme.
Hubby reminded me the other day that Rowling said that two people she didn’t expect to die would. She could kill Harry, Snape, Voldemort (who we all expect) and then two more on top of that. Neville certainly could be one.

You could be right about the whole Frodo/Sam thing. Neville is a good Sam.
