  1. And the really big ones are the library books, so you can't even leave them behind! I'll be curious to see what you think of The Magician's Elephant…and someday I am going to read Daughter of the Forest too (clenches teeth in determination). I have been meaning to get around to this series for years…

  2. YES. That is what I always tell people when they ask my opinion on the kindle/nook. I say I'd want one for travel, but that's it. Then I could use that luggage space for oh so many other things 🙂

  3. I'm with you…on my trips to Frisco and Colorado last year books added an extra 5-10 pounds (more or less) to my luggage and also forced me to leave behind some clothes (priorities you know…wear the same shirt two days in a row or have an extra book to read…no brainer)

I don't travel “that” often (a couple of times a year) and at least one of my trips is usually a family vacation which generally means less “downtime” than business trips and so less time to read.

Still, as I lugged my suitcase around, I contemplated e-readers.

But beyond that…I'm an old-school paper lover.

  4. See, my book pile isn't so bad GOING on trips… It's usually coming back from them that is bad. They made fun of me at the airport one time… And, I kinda doubt that would change with an eReader. I might bring it with me, but I would still bring books home.

Speaking of books, I am looking forward to our buddy read. I actually might buy an e-copy, funny enough, because I have tried to read the paper version three times and still haven't finished it!
