Expanding Horizons Challenge Link List

This is a sticky post; scroll down for newer posts.

As per Amira’s suggestion… Here’s a place to link to your challenge lists. This way, they’ll be more accessible to other interested parties. (If you don’t have a blog, and would still like to participate, leave your list in the comments section of this post. And if you’ve already posted a link to your lists, I would love it if you’d re-post it here.) For the challenge description and rules, click here.

Thanks!

Hello Melissa,I’ve just discovered your blog following a link on Amira’s blog. I had already read about the “Expanding Horizons Challenge” in her blog but reading about it again today made me decide to take the challenge. I am totally not as avid a reader as most people whose blog I read but I think it will be fun. For me the bigger challenge will probably be finding the books. Africa will be a breeze, but the others may be more difficult. I’ll wait until I find the books I want to read before I post my list.Cheers,W7 (http://caroleau.blogspot.com/)

  3. I’m going to have to pull out of this challenge. I am having trouble finding some well written books by authors from the middle east. All I can find are authors from other areas writing about the middle east. Also I already have 8 challenges for next year, and I think thats enough. Sorry.

  4. Hello Melissa, your challenge sounds great and I would definitely like to take it, if I may. I’m very new to this whole reading challenges thing, but it looks like a fun way to share reading experiences, and the Expanding Horizons challenge looks exactly like what I need to start… Please do tell me if it’s only open to people you know or something, though.I recently managed to set up an English section in my (previously Italian-only) blog, so I’m ready to go, just waiting for your OK.Happy reading!Francesca

  5. Francesca — by all means, join up! (I don’t know personally most of the people who’ve joined!) I’m going over to check out your blog… the English part anyway. Thanks for even considering this challenge!

  6. I wasn’t gong to do this, as my TBR pile is ginormous. But a slow day at work, combined with a lack of interest in anything on my shelves, made me do a little research. And now here I am…with some books on order and a list I’m looking forward to reading. Thanks!

I’m number 21 on the list and 21 is my favorite number!!! Woot woot! I found your blog via softdrink and I am using this challenege to start reading more offline again. I’m online way too much. And snuggling with the monitor near the fireplace isn’t as cozy as snuggling with a good book! Thanks mucho!
