Labor Day Updates

I was going to wait until Andi had the new Estella’s Revenge up (Oh, Andi, where are you? — she plaintively cries — Is work totally slowing you down?!), but I realized that the deadline for the September Bookworm Carnival is only 11 days away, and I decided not to wait.

Get those books read, posts up, and submissions in… time is running out! (Though, if you haven’t noticed, I haven’t read anything for the September carnival. Yet.)

And, if you also haven’t noticed, I’m finally caving (after what, nearly three years) and posting pictures of the books I’ve read. I don’t know if I’m going to go back and do ALL of them, but I will do it from here out. If I remember.

Have a great holiday. πŸ™‚

  1. Andi, you know I love you and I appreciate everything you do. And I’m only whining because I want the chance to boast about the stuff I’ve written. πŸ™‚ Dewey… at least you’ve *read* a classic. I still have to read one. And I’m running out of time….

  2. Hi!I was wondering what the earliest dated post for submission to the carnival is. I talked a lot about classics over the summer, but my last relevent post is from August 1st. Is that too early? (if so, no hurt feelings)

  3. Eva — Technically, it’s supposed to be a post dated from the last carnival post date (which I think was August 13th). But since the carnival is at *my* blog, and Dewey keeps telling me that I can do what I want, and since many of the submissions aren’t really classics (or book!) related at all, feel free to submit anything in the last couple of months (nothing, say, before the beginning of July) that has anything to do with reading classics.I’m looking forward to seeing what you send!

  4. I like being more flexible than the “since the last carnival” thing (which is a standard blog carnival policy) because our carnivals are themed. And not everyone just happens to write on each theme every month, you know? Anyway, I’m sure I’ll have to submit something ancient when the short story carnival comes along. Let’s hope John will accept it!
