I guess I shouldn’t get my hopes up re: my favorite books being made into movies.It’s just that I think the HPotter films have been good so that I think it should be easy to do! garrrumph. WHY did they take out the Arthurian stuff? I mean, who <>doesn’t<> like Arthurian legend????

  2. Oh jeez. And a love interest for the Walker??? Who, Maggie the farm girl? One of Will’s sisters? Miss Greythorne?I’d rather they didn’t make the movie at all than bowdlerize it like that. I couldn’t bring myself to see the Earthsea movie, and I <>definitely<> won’t be seeing this one either.

  3. Oh, I want to cry. How dare they! I agree with Julie, hands off a classic unless you’re going to do it right. (It does have a cool poster, though–maybe I’ll buy that for my classroom and add a tag at the bottom that says, skip the movie, read the book!)
