From Chocolat, by Jeanne Harris, p. 107:
The magic mountain opens to reveal a bewildering array, half-glimpsed, of riches; multicolored piles of sugar crystals, glace fruits, and sweets that glitter like gems. Behind this, and shielded from the light by the concealed shelving, lie the saleable wares.
The roundup is as Should Be Reading.

How are you liking ‘Chocolat’ so far? Isn’t the writing wonderful. I will be reading a sequel ‘The Girl With No Shadow’ soon.

Is this a similar story to the movie? If so, I’ve got to get it! I loved the movie!>>Here’s my < HREF="http://wendisbookcorner.blogspot.com/2009/02/teaser-tuesday-age-before-beauty-by.html" REL="nofollow">Teaser<>! ~ Wendi

Wendi — I’ve seen the movie, but it’s been so long, I don’t remember it. LOL. So, I need to get a copy before I put up my review so I can accurately compare. Because I think they changed the story in some significant ways, from what I do remember. >>I do like the writing, Lilly, though it’s not as lush as I want it to be. That’s probably not a bad thing, considering I’m craving chocolate like no one’s business right now.
