Why not do it?
Hubby’s cousin Bob is in Afghanistan, and he’s issued this call to help the people there. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind packages from complete strangers, too.

So, no one minds if he’s getting a lot of stuff through his APO? This would be a great option for humanitarian aid since the shipping is usually the biggest problem.>>Has he tried getting anything through the Church’s humanitarian aid? There are missionaries doing projects in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, all of which don’t have any official church representation.

I asked him, and he said there shouldn’t be any problem. And he’s aware of the Church’s humanitarian aid; he just wanted this to be a bit more of a personal experience. He’s even willing to take pictures of the recipients and send them to you, so you know who got the items you’ve sent. >>I thought you’d be interested in this, Amira. 🙂

Good. I’ll see what I can send. We have come school kits ready to give to humanitarian aid, but they have too much stuff right now and can’t store anything else. I’ll send them to Afghanistan instead. We left all of our winter clothes in Kyrgyzstan for people there.>>I can imagine exactly what the people look like who receive these things though. It doesn’t matter what the location or the race or the age, I know the smiles.
