No, that’s not a book title either.
It seems I’ve gained a bit of a reputation for being a children’s literature buff, and my husband’s co-bloggers over at Times & Seasons asked me for book recommendations. That turned into a very long email which turned into a guest post… at any rate, you can see it here. Drop by and leave a few suggestions, if you feel so inclined. 🙂
I will look later–wanted to ask you, have you read Sea of Trolls?

Nope. Is it any good?

It’s odd. Have you read any other Nancy Farmer, like House of the Scorpion? Sea seems to be a continuation of Beowulf. I’m not sure what to make of it yet.

I really liked House of Scorpion, but I haven’t read anything else by her. You’ll have to let me know what you think of it when you finish.

Great post, Melissa. You mentioned some of our family faves, too. Particulary Goodnight Gorilla, which I will always adore because it was the first book my son ever requested by title, at the library. He was not yet two at the time. What a mommy moment! (*swelling with pride at the memory*)

So far, it’s extremely violent. Takes place in the far north with Berserkers. I’m still not sure what to think.
